That's right...You will be shopping before the public, with only a limited number of volunteers. Want to know how?

12-Hour Volunteer Privileges
You shop the pre-sale FIRST at 3pm on Thursday, August 6th!
AND
are the only shoppers at the Half-price pre-sale at 5pm on Friday, August 7th!

8-Hour Volunteer Privileges
You shop the pre-sale next at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 6th!

4-Hour Volunteer Privileges You shop the pre-sale at 5:00pm, right before the consignors (who shop at 5:45pm) on Thursday, August 6th!

We need a few guys (yes, they can volunteer for your SHOP EARLY PASS...or you can work four hours together!) to help set-up racks on Wednesday, August 5th from 1pm - 5pm and/or to help with break-down on Saturday, August 8th from 1pm - 5pm

~We would also love to have some fellows to help customers with loading some of the bulkier items during either Thursday Night or Friday Morning.

NOTE: You may divide your volunteer shift(s) into more than one shift and they do not need to be worked on the same day or by the same person...we love teenagers, husbands and grandmothers!

Below are some of the most common JBF volunteer positions:

Checkout: volunteer help scan, count and bag items as shoppers check out. If you can count to 50, you're PERFECT for this job!

Sales Floor: volunteer will float on sales floor, checking for dropped items, missing tags, straightening clothing on racks and table, or hanging-up items that weren't purchased. If you can move from room-to-room and spot a potential mess of items (and fix it), then this would be a great job for you!

Greeter: volunteer will greet shoppers at the door, tag personal strollers and carriers, check for any appropriate pre-sale passes, and then direct customers to various areas for shopping. If you can talk, smile and be friendly to others, this job would be a super fit for you!

Jack-of-all-Trades: if you can do any or all of the above, then we have hit the jackpot! Sometimes, we may need you at one position and then switch you to another as shifts and numbers of shoppers change. Working at a JBF sale is so much fun and we always need your help. Please sign-up for as many shifts as you can comfortably work!


Answers to frequently asked questions:
~ Don't worry if you have never volunteered before, we will show you what to do when you arrive...you'll be doing things like straightening racks, helping out in the Hold Area, assisting shoppers with sold stickers for large items, helping with check out, inspecting items, etc. (We also have sit-down jobs, if you are pregnant or unable to stand for long periods of time.)
~ Consignors will pick up their 12-, 8- or 4-hour pre-sale pass at the Information Table during drop-off.
~ If you are not consigning, you may pick up your pre-sale pass just before your appropriate pre-sale begins.
~ Please bring any food/drink (and a small cooler, if desired) that you might need during your shift.
~ Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. We provide a cute JBF apron for you to wear during your volunteer shift(s).
~ IMPORTANT: pre-sales are for actual volunteers only! Husbands, mothers and friends must earn their own pass to attend a pre-sale.
~ Children are not allowed at any pre-sale. Nursing babies may attend, if needed.
